Series 4000

The Series 4000 is a fully automated, computer-interfaced electrochemical and electrode research testing system designed for battery applications. Powered by Maccor’s advanced testing software, it offers top-tier specifications and functional capabilities, delivering high-precision, high-speed testing performance. With a wide range of optional features, the Series 4000 can execute virtually any type of battery or battery pack test, regardless of battery chemistry.

The Series 4000 systems are available in configurations ranging from 8 to 128 test channels. Each system can be customized to meet specific user requirements. They support a broad range of voltage and current specifications and can be equipped with additional hardware to meet particular feature and functionality demands.

The Series 4000 includes a complete power conversion and supply system composed of a test cabinet, PC, testing software, optional UPS, and printer. Communication between the test cabinet and the PC is achieved through a high-speed network with a base time resolution of 10 milliseconds. The system is fully assembled, tested, and ready for immediate use upon delivery.

To ensure maximum flexibility and operational speed, the test system is managed and controlled via a processing chip, which also collects initial data. Each control board supports 1 to 8 test channels, depending on the application. Additionally, the test cabinet contains independently controlled electronic loads and power supplies for charge/discharge operations.

Each test channel can operate independently, and the testing process is fully automated until the specified end conditions are met.
